Ragda Patties


Ingredients for the Patties:

1 Kg Potatoes,
Oil for shallow frying,
Salt as per taste.

Method :
Boil the potatoes, grate it and add salt as desired. Make it into round patties and shallow fry until it browns on both sides. Remove and keep it aside.

Ingredients for Ragda :
¼ Kg White Peas (Vatana) soak it over night.
2 Big onions cubed finely
2 Medium Tomatoes cubed finely
½ Tsp Tumeric,
Salt as desired,
1 Tsp Chilli Powder
4-5 flakes of garlic chopped
Coriander leaves chopped
3-4 Tbsp Oil


Method :
Boil the soaked white peas in the pressure cooker with little salt and turmeric until it get slight mushy. Keep it aside. Now take a handi put it on slow fire, pour the 3-4 tbsp oil once the oil is hot add the onions and fry till it slightly browns now add the chopped tomatoes fry, add a little turmeric and chilli powder , Now add the boiled white peas. Adjust your salt if required. Close the fire and now add finely chopped coriander leaves.

Tamaraind & Dates Chutney :
Soak little tamarind make a pulp , discard the stones and dirt from the tamarind. Add the crushed pulp of dates. Add a pinch of salt. Mix well. Chutney is ready.

Arrange the 2-3 Patties on the plate; put 5-6 Tbsp of ragda over the patties. Sprinkle little chilli powder and some chaat Masala, finely chopped onion as desired and now add fine sev which is easily available in the supermarket. Put some Date and tamarind Chutney. Sprinkle some coriander leaves. Relish the Ragda Patties.

Chicken in Green Masala


Ingredients for Grinding :
1 Big bunch of coriander leaves
10 green chillies
7 flakes of garlic
1 inch piece of ginger
1 Tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
2 Tsp of Coriander Seeds
12 cloves
2 inch of cinnamon
1 small ball of tamarind



For Frying :
4 big Onions cubed finely

3 Medium Ripe Tomatoes cubed finely


Method :
Take a Pot (handi) put it on fire add 7 Tbsp oil once the oil is hot add the onions, brown it well now add the tomatoes and brown it, next add the ground Masala and fry it well until it starts leaving the oil. Now add the chicken, 1 ½ tsp salt (or as per your taste) mix it and let cook for 5 minutes. Add 1 ½ cup of water and let the chicken cook in the gravy for 15 minutes on slow fire. Now check the thickness of the gravy. Keep the gravy little thick coz it absolutely Yummilicious and lip smacking. Serve it with white rice or Naan.
